New in: motivation

Nothing gives a little boost of training motivation like some new sportswear! It’s becoming pretty apparent what kind of color I prefer though…

I’m training hard this coming week. Gonna get up with hubby at 5 in the morning on tuesday, thursday and friday to hit the gym at 6.30 am before work, and then hitting the gym after work tomorrow and on wednesday. Then from saturday to sunday I’m having another show with Rex in Skien. Bananas!

It’s on!

I started working out again today. I haven’t been to the gym for weeks, and you could definitely tell, cause it was haaaaard! But I had my girl Melissa there, so it was fun anyways. We like to compete, so that makes us push ourselves a little harder. At the end we were pretty much just goofing around though..

Ah, girl look at that body

I work out!

It’s always hard to get back to the gym after not going for a while, but sometimes you just have to give yourself a kick in the ass. Like Nike says, “just do it!”

We Love The 90′s!

I had dance practice before work today, because me and 12 other people are gonna do a 90′s dance show at the “We Love The 90′s” concert next saturday!

It’s gonna be at Telenor Arena, which is huge! So we’re finally gonna have big stage where we’re gonna be able to run around and really dance our asses off. Since the whole thing is 90′s themed, we’re doing a medley with songs from Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears and Five, and we’ve copied some moves from their music videos as well as added original coreography. It’s gonna be goofy and fun, I can’t wait!

Brainstorming after practice last week..

Are you going to the concert?

Bikram Yoga

Today I finally got to go to a bikram yoga class again! It’s been a while since the last time I was there. Mostly because it’s expensive, and it takes so long! Just the class itself takes an hour and a half, and then we have to be there about half an hour before the class starts, to change clothes and register. And then you HAVE TO shower afterwards because you are DRENCHED in sweat. So you have to have at least two and a half hours set a side for it. But, I love doing it! When it takes a while between classes I tend to get a little dizzy or nauseous, but when I do it consistently I feel fine. Today went pretty good though, only had to sit through two exercises..!

If you don’t know what Bikram Yoga is, it’s basically yoga done in a very hot room! It’s exhausting, but you feel great afterwards!

Ever tried it?

A kick-start!

I have had the “30 day shred” by Jillian Michaels laying around for a while, and yesterday I decided to try it out. It was 20 minutes of cardio, strength and abs, and it was tough, but fun! So I’m gonna be sticking to it for the next 30 days. Since the weather suddenly did a 180 today, and there’s now snow outside (!!), I’m glad that I can just do these 20 minutes at home, instead of having to pack my bag and go all the way to the gym!

A good way to start the day! Now I’m off to meet some friends :D

Back on the horse

After three weeks of lots of carbs, candy, soda, and no exercise, I had to force myself out the door to get to the gym today. But I did it, and now it feels so much better!

I walked on the treadmill for 60 minutes at 7 km per hour with 5-6% angle, and now I have blisters on my feet..!

But, it’s worth it, cause it feels great when you’re done. Tomorrow I’m gonna take a Muay Thai class again. It’s been a while since the last time I took one, so I’m looking forward to it. It’s hard, but so much fun! I have my own gloves and everything. If you haven’t tried it, I can recommend it. You don’t have to have any experience with martial arts, but you can’t be afraid to throw a punch.

(This pic was taken over a year ago! But it’s the only one I have from Muay Thai  class)
