QT with my bestie

Easter time here in Norway means a lot of people have a few days of from work, and I’m finally one of them! While most norwegians escape to cottages in the mountains to go skiing and what not, I’m staying in the city. And so is my bestie! I met up with her today to catch up and enjoy the nice, sunny weather we’re having!

I also got a text from my brother today saying that the baby might be here soon! They were at the hospital today, but got sent home to wait. So it’s not here yet, but it’s close! Her due date was sunday. So my niece better hurry it up and get here soon, cause I can’t wait to finally be an auntie :D

Friday fun

Yesterday was an interesting day. I left work early to go check out a school in Moss that Endre and I have been thinking about going to. It’s called American College of Norway, or ACN. It’s basically the first year of a bachelors degree in the US. So you do the first year here in Norway, and the rest in the US. This is because we don’t get fundings for the first year in the US, so you either have to fund it yourself, or start second year right away. We want to go to school in Florida, and this is a great way of getting there! We both really liked the school and what they have to offer, so I think we’re gonna apply for the fall semester.

After that we went to Sweden to fill up on groceries, and then had like 30 minutes at home to put everything away and get ready for quiz with my colleagues at my job. My team didn’t win, but it was a lot of fun! After the quiz, when people wanted to go out, I went to Aqua Vitae where Endre was playing, and danced and had a couple of drinks with a colleague of mine that came along.

Tonight I’m going to a birthday party to a friend of mine, so I have to go get ready now. See you soon jewels!

My first

I can’t believe I bought my first ever car on friday..! I’ve had my license for 7 years, but I’ve never had my own car before.

There were several reasons why we decided to get a car at this point.

1: Endre is about to get started on his license, and if we have our own car that he can practice with, it will probably save him some money on driving lessons (which is reaaaally expensive here in Norway)

2: We try to get to the Swedish border ones in a while to stack up on some groceries, since everything is so much cheaper there, but when we don’t have a car of our own, it’s often hard to find a time that works for family or friends that do have one. So now we can go whenever we need to, and have the time.

3: My job recently moved to a different location. Still in Oslo, but it takes me longer to get there, and the only way to get there is by subway. And I’m a little scared to get home at night when it’s dark, cause I have to go through a dark alley to get from the subway to the bus.

4: Well, I can’t really reveal what number 4 is yet, but it’s a good one!

Isn’t it cute?? It’s a Toyota Aygo. Perfect for the city. I can park this baby almost anywhere because it’s so small! I love it :D

Magic anniversary

Endre and I will take any reason to have some fun together, and yesterday was our 6 months wedding anniversary. I don’t know if other people celebrate that at all, but we sure did!

First, I kicked Endre’s ass in bowling! He won the last time we played, so it felt good to beat him this time. I actually managed quite a few strikes, the first one I got was only on my second throw..!

After bowling we grabbed a little something to eat before we headed to the movies. Endre said I could choose the movie, so..

Haha, yes, we saw Magic Mike! There was a lot of those “sink in to my chair”-moments, but overall it was actually a funny and entertaining movie.

6 months later

Today, it’s been 6 months since Endre and I said our “I Do’s” in Miami. We’re gonna celebrate by going bowling, going to the movies, and making a nice dinner at home, just the two of us <3ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Life’s a rollercoaster

I haven’t been to the amusement park here in Norway for at least six years, so when one of my best friends suggested we go last week, I thought it might be a good idea. So on friday he picked me up, and me, Charit, Audrey, Glenn, Melissa and her daughter Linnea had a great day riding rollercoasters!

An awesome day with great friends was just what I needed! ♥

Mission Impossible

It’s soooo difficult to get anything done while I’m on my nightshifts. I can barely manage a little housework and making myself something to eat during those 5 hours I have at home between getting up at 5 pm and heading back to work at 10 pm. And this last week of night shifts was particularly hard for some reason..

So when my night shifts ended I started my 3 week “vacation”. I’ve just been at home, but I’ve gotten back into the gym, and back on the low-carb wagon after weeks of stuffing my face with so much junk-food and candy and other unhealthy things during my little “time-out”.

I’ve also been playing catch-up with friends, which has been nice, and much needed.

So time to get this blog up to date as well, right?

New in: from Paris!

So in all the wedding craze that’s been going on the past few weeks I totally forgot to tell you about Paris! I won’t give it to you all at once though, cos that would make one long ass post, but I thought I’d start with showing you what I bought. (I’m sorry that the colors are a little “off”, but I took the pictures in the hotel room which had green lighting…)

I actually bought this Ted Baker bag in the Apple store! It fits my laptop perfectly, as well as my iPad. Love it! (The color is more hot pink in reality)

Hoodie and sweatpants from Footlocker

Sneakers from Nike (bought at a sneaker store called Opium)

Sweaters from Zara

Shoes from New Look

Necklaces from H&M and New Look

Earrings from New Look

I don’t remember the name of the store where I bought these bracelets atm, but I’ll see if I can find the reciept, cos that was a cool store!

Paris-mug from Starbucks ♥

Nailstickers and make-up from Sephora (they threw in a cute beach bag for me too, yey!)

Tops from H&M and New Look

Hairband from H&M

I think that was everything.. I’m hooked on all things mint these days, so I had to have those sneakers! Love, love, love them ♥

More to come ;)
